Yes, it has been a while since I have felt like writing. I have encountered many who have lifted me up, torn me down, supported my decisions, expressed their concerns, and of course loved me through it all. I have grown so much in the last 20 months. My testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has definately become stronger and I definately need to continue working day to day....I also need to be more diligent about teaching Jacee the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am excited and nervous about the upcoming week....
1. I have an opportunity to take one of my best friends through the Gilbert Arizona Temple on Tuesday, January 25th. I am nervous about what he will think, ask and say.... I know that I shouldn't be after all I am a return missionary...However, I know how much this opportunity could change his life and hopefully, will increase his desire to learn more!!! As he puts it, "I am taking him to the Big House."
2. I am excited for a new adventure at work! Who would of thought I would be where I am at today compared to last year? Through hard work, listening to the spirit and and being faithful to calling I have struggled with has answered several prayers and I can't believe what keeps unfolding infront of me...
3. Jacee is still struggling with Nursery. I know that she will adjust someday or maybe she won't....who knows??? I hope she is learning the things that she needs to. I know that it is important to keep going so she will continue to grow and develop....
4. I am grateful for Brett & Suzie Brinkerhoff who have become Jacee's new babysitters. It did take a few weeks for her to adjust. I know that through the patience and love they have shown to her she is excited now to comeover and play....She loves her new playmates, Weston & Rebecca, and I am excited to see her grow and develop!!!
5. I am grateful for my new calling as a Sunbeam Primary Teacher, I have 7 wonderful, well behaved children...Elliot Court, Evelet Romero, Elsie Omerza, Zoey Sharp, Nora Millett, Sophie Wilstead, and Chloe Fuller. They are such awsome examples to me!!!
6. I'm still struggling with some goals of mine such as exercise and weight loss....I know that if I see healthy eating and exercise as somthing only my doctor expects of me, I will continue to fail. I need to see these choices as who I am and who I want to become, I will have a greater chance of staying the course and succeeding.
7. I also know that I need to work on setting divine goals and not dwell on my past failures....For falling is what we mortals do. But as long as we are willing to rise up and continue on the path toward our spiritual goals God has given us, we can learn something from our failures and become better and happier as a result.
"No matter how many times you have slipped or fallen, rise up! Your destiny is a glorious one! Stand tall and walk in the light of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ! You are stronger than you realize. You are more capable than you can imagine. You can do it now!" President Dieter F Uchtdorf
