1. My New Goal: From Sister Falabella, wife of Elder Enrique R Falabella: To Contend, You need two people & her motto is: "In order to contend, you need two people, & I will never be one of them." Yes, I need to work on not being so contentious in my life! I think if I really thought about the conversations and did my part, I would be a lot happier....
2. I want to encourage Jacee to love music because "A Child Who Sings Is A Happy Child." How touching is it to hear the song of a little one who has been taught by his or her parent to sing, "I am a Child of God."
3. The Temple is the Place: "Set a Goal to get married in the temple, only the temple can declare you, "Husband & Wife for Time & All Eternity." In the Celestial Glory there are three heavens or degrees, "And in order to obtain the highest a man must enter into this order of the Priesthood."
4. It is not enough to know the scriptures, we have to live them. Those who live the Celestial Principles found in the scriptures give comfort to those who suffer, they bring joy to those who are depressed, direction to those who are lost, peace to those who are distressed, and asure guidance to those who seek the truth.
5. The Words We Speak, "One of the greatest influences a person can have in the world is to influence a child, Children's beliefs and self-worth are shaped early in their lives. We can learn from that voice from Heaven. It was not loud, scolding, or demeaning, it was a still small voice of perfect mildness, giving firm direction while giving hope. How we speak to our children & the words we use can encourage & uplift them & strengthen their faith to stay on the path back to Heavenly Father. They come to this earth ready to listen.
6. Pray to know your Child's needs: to speak to a child's heart, we must know a child's needs. If we pray to know those needs, the very words we say may have the power to reach into their hearts. Our efforts are magnified when we seek the direction of the Holy Ghost. The answer to our prayer of how to meet our children's needs maybe more often to technologically disconnect. Precious moments of opportunity to interact and converse with our children dissolve when we are occupied with distractions.
7. I know that this week seems very Churchy....I love when I go to church and the Sacrament Talks, Sunday School & Relief Society Lessons all seem to be answers to your prayers for the struggles you are having. Yes, I struggle every day to stay active & to keep my testimony strong. I am a very curious person and I know what my weaknesses are... I have bad days and I have good days! I am very grateful for those who have stuck by me....

Seven after Sunday
1. Today, I didn't know if I should be sarcastic or grateful for the other driver who showed up to work when he was scheduled off because it allowed me to leave & go to my interview without any problems. I am very thankful for a Heavenly Father who knows & loves me & takes care of the small details in life....
2. Jacee continues to amaze me!!! It was funny this morning, she was playing with her cousin, Aiden, when she grabbed his feet and completely turned him over and tried pullying him closer to her. She is one strong little cookie!!!
3. Plus, she continues to demand that you walk her around the house. We've even started calling the little walk area around the couch, the Jacee expressway!!! She is so funny to watch...
4. Music is going to be a big part of Jacee's life! It is so much fun to watch her during church when we start to sing a song...she begins to lead, you see her arm go a mile a minute in the motion of the chorister, it is really cute!!!
5. I have started looking at houses to rent...I don't know why but I feel moving out into my own place is a goal that I need to achieve within the next year!!! I don't know how I am going to accomplish it, however, like I said in the first statement, I know Heavenly Father will help me make it possible!
6. I am grateful for friends and family who love and support me!!! Without them I wouldn't be where I am today, I know that I need to become a better friend to several people and more compassionate towards my family.... It is definately something that I have been working on and will continue to do on a daily basis.
7. Pampered Chef is going to be a challenging and rewarding job for me!!! It pushes me past my comfortable zone and into that I can accomplish this.... I have done two shows/presentations now, I am excited to do a party this weekend for one of my long time friend's Jonette Coleman! She is an amazing woman...Thanks for being a great friend!

Seven after Sunday
1. This week has been a little crazy....I did a presentation in front of my friend's toastmaster group!!! I received several tips on how to become a better speaker and business woman! Thank You Tammy for everything you have done for me...
2. Jacee is driving me/us crazy with wanting to be mobile. She wants anyone and everyone to walk her around the house...She hasn't gotten up the courage yet to do it herself!!!
3. I had my interview with Maricopa County for the Clerical Clerk with Adult Probation. I believe my interview went really smoothly....
4. With that, I am still looking for a better job. I applied to several school and government clerical positions today....I am still praying and hoping that one of them will come through for me!
5. I am definately being challenged, I have struggled with a few gospel principles and now that I am doing them....I still find myself asking how have I been blessed because of it? I know that is being selfish and that I need to change my attitude towards things....
6.I am trying to receive free product from Pampered Chef, however, a couple of my shows have cancelled and I am trying to find others to fill in. If you would like to help me out either through a party or if you are out of town a catalog show that would be awsome!!!
7. I need to stay stong! I can feel myself fighting against the things that I know are right because the things that I know are wrong is sooooo much easier & happier....There are a lot of things that I have questioned in the past year, especially, when complete strangers have been way nicer than my own family members....I need to forgive and forget & move on in life....

Seven after Sunday
1. Congratulations to my brother & sister-in-law on their 12th Anniversary!!! Their family has grown in more ways than one....Chris graduated from Drake Law School in May and has been accepted to a 4th year of Law at Georgetown University. Karen continues to be a stay at home mom and is an instructor at the local YMCA. They have 4 boys and 1 girl that totally keep them on their toes....William (8), Annmarie (7), Jeffrey (6), Jed (4) and Henry (1)!!!
2. The month of July has so many good memories of visiting my Grandpa Jones in Utah....we would sit out on the front porch swing and eat watermelon from his garden, watch the parade pass by and at night launch fireworks on the 4th, pluse, there were several trips to the Manti Pageant and fish hatchery, and you can never forget the experience of feeding a calf with a bottle!!! He was extremely proud of each and everyone of his grandchildren. He was always excited when one of us were about to leave on a mission, graduate from college, get married or have children of our own....
3. Freedom....do we really know what that is anymore? Many people believe freedom is a free handout....Really? I always remember the days from the MTC when I received lessons on the welfare of the church and the quote that stands out the most: If you give a man a fish, he has a meal for a day....If you teach a man how to fish, he has a meal for a lifetime!!!
4. Freedom....I love the ability to choose what I want to be, where I want to go, whom I am friends with and what church I belong to! Freedom is a gift from God!!! I love being an American Citizen and having the privileges & responsibilities that come a long with that...
5. Love....I can't believe how you don't know what true love is all about until you are married or have a child of your own! When you are willing to sacrifice everything you have for that one person...it is definately one of the greatest feelings in the world! It is important that we remember we are truly Children of a Heavenly Father who loves US!!!
6. Love....this reminds me of the Relief Society lesson we had on Sunday about Charity! Is it a coincidence that the theme for Relief Society is Charity Never Faileth? Charity is the Pure Love of Christ....we must be able to love ourselves for who we are and forgive ourselves for the mistakes we have made in order to truly love our neighbors as thyself! How can we learn to love others if we don't like or love ourselves?
7. These past couple of weeks have been totally crazy at work! I have received several compliments and Thank You's from several customers....I love my job, however, I am extremely excited for both of my interviews on Wednesday (Judicial Clerk with Maricopa County and Managerial Class with Enterprise) I can't wait!!!

Berries 'N Stars
Berries 'N Stars
Ingredients.
1 package (17.25 ounces) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
2 lemons
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
... 1 container (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced (about 3 cups slices)
1/2 pint blueberries (about 1 cup)
Powdered sugar
Directions.
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Unfold one pastry sheet onto lightly floured Rectangle Stone. Roll into 13 x 10-inch rectangle using lightly floured Baker's Roller®. Move pastry into one corner of the stone, leaving open space along two sides. Unfold second sheet of pastry onto smooth side of Large Grooved Cutting Board; roll to a 13 X 10-inch rectangle. Cut four 1-inch-thick strips lengthwise from second sheet using Pizza Cutter; reserve remaining dough for decoration. Brush outer edges of pastry on baking stone with water using Chef's Silicone Basting Brush. Arrange and press strips around edge of pastry, forming an even border. Trim off any excess dough. Prick entire bottom of pastry with pastry tool.
2. Cut 16 stars from remaining dough sheet using Creative Cutters (discard remaining dough). Arrange stars in space along edges of baking stone. Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. (Center of crust may puff up slightly, but will flatten out as it cools.) Cool completely. Remove pastry stars from baking stone; set aside.
3. Meanwhile, zest lemons with Microplane® Adjustable Grater to measure 1 tablespoon zest. Juice lemons using Juicer to measure 1/4 cup juice. In Classic Batter Bowl, whisk together condensed milk, lemon zest and juice using Stainless Whisk. Gently fold in whipped topping using Classic Scraper. Attach desired tip to Easy Accent® Decorator; completely fill with filling mixture (1 1/3 cups) and set aside for garnish.
4. Fill cooled pastry shell within border with remaining filling. Hull strawberries using Core & More; slice using Egg Slicer Plus®. Arrange strawberries and blueberries over filling. Garnish with rosettes of reserved filling and top with pastry stars. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Lightly sprinkle pastry with powdered sugar using Flour/Sugar Shaker. Slice using Chef's Knife.

Cook's Tips:
Thaw puff pastry sheets at room temperature about 1 hour before using or microwave on 20% power for 3-4 minutes until thawed but still cold. Puff pastry that is too warm is difficult to work with.
Lemons kept at room temperature will yield more juice than those that are refrigerated. To get more juice out of a lemon, roll the lemon between the palm of your hand and the Cutting Board.
Sweetened condensed milk is a mixture of whole milk and sugar that is heated until the water evaporates. The resulting mixture is sticky and sweet and is available in cans. Sweetened condensed milk is used in baked goods and desserts.

Seven after Sunday
This week has been a little crazy....
1. Jacee is becoming adventurous as she wants everyone to walk her around the house while holding onto your fingers. Plus, she is exploring every room in the house, starting to walk around the couch & I learned today she is interested in the stairs at her babysitter's house....
2. I missed playing softball the last two weeks & seeing all my crazy friends....
3. I have done a lot of pondering about this last year & have learned quite a bit about some of my cousins...I never knew some of them looked up to me & thought I was the perfect one when all I wanted was to be like them. They all got married and had kids right away. I know that their marriages are far from perfect but they do have what I want....
4. Work has been very busy lately....I love talking and catching up with our customers especially, one of my favorite primary teachers Becky Burgess! I see her quite often as we deliver parts to her brother's business....I always look forward to seeing her & am disappointed when she's not there!!! She is definitely one of the best!!!
5. This week has definitely taught me not to give up on things because there are definitely people out there willing to help you succeed & conquer your goals in life!!!
6. I started a new business!!! Let the craziness & excitement begin....I did my first show! I have quite a bit to work on, I know I can do this....my recipe went over really well & I can't wait to do it again!!!
7. You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your Life!!!
